►The 2012-2015 BMW F30 with the N20 engine features a plastic valve cover, unlike the aluminum ones of BMW’s past. Over the years and countless heat cycles, this plastic valve cover can warp, become brittle and crack. All of these are known to cause oil leaks around the valve cover gasket.

How long we do it for F30 N20 Sir?
I wonder if I order the part and have my bmw shop to put it on will it be much cheaper ?
I have oil on the two plugs closest to the firewall will this fix it?
Wow this is 50x harder than on an E46.
Nice video , a simple question in order to reinstall the high pressure fuel pump is recommended to do this job with the vehicle in neutral to avoid the need to get down to the transmition bolt to release it from parking and spin the crankshaft to the lower position ?
How many hours of labors is required to do the N20 valve cover gasket replacement ?

What’s the part number for that noise insulation? I’ve noticed my car doesn’t have it at all
Awesome video, saved me at least 1500 dollars. One advice before starting this job is to check the valve cover itself for cracks. I started the job thinking it was the gasket but turned out it was a crack in the valve cover. Also, if you feel like the black power cord is too much in the way, it can be removed by a 10 mm bolt.
