I used a small socket wrench with a swivel attachment so that I have an
angle to access the bolt.
I don’t see any reason why it would be a big problem.
Great video…i just bought the hard wire for the v1.im going to hook it up
to my rear view mirror, but it didn’t come with an inline fuse. Will it be
OK to just ground it and hook it up without it?
Thanks a lot. Whats that screw driver called you used to open that black
bolt. There is no other way to get to that bolt. Thanks
I am not familiar wit the Escort hard-wire. My guess is that you should try
to find the right ground. You can do this by touching the ground lead on
the metal bolt/screw I point to in the video. It is not easy to get to.
Thanks for the post. I was able to open the top console and using a blue T
tap that came with escort direct wire kit I applied that to the green-brown
cable of the front bundle. Before permanently securing the ground wire , I
tried to check the connection first by attaching ground wire to the metal
parts inside the car (the locking hook of the front door inside the door
jams) but didn’t get any life in my escort. Where can I be wrong. I’m sure
that t tap went in well. Thanks for the suggestions.
