The car will run without a MAF, just not properly. It won’t run
efficiently, or produce as much power.
Would the mad cause the car to not start?
nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! Thats 420 to the crank. My car did
like 350 to the wheels with a tune which is normal
won’t you have to do some resiting?
BMW rates horsepower at rear wheels, so 394 stock with slight mods and good
maintenance, it makes sense. For example, it’s said that the F10 produces
560, one site online found over 700 crank!
I don’t even own a BMW, lol
if a person is mechanically minded and a true petrol head, then they should
never snubb down a chance to learn smthing~ i replaced my bmw with a lexus,
but still enjoy these vids~
You are very welcome! Thanks for the support!
Well, you ought to start putting some cash aside to buy one. BMWs are the
bests cars you can buy, specially 5 Series.
im curious…what DO you drive?
a 2008 3.5l Altima but always been a fan of the M and sometimes i use my
brother’s jeep.
Those are big numbers for ecu and filter mods, If your M5 is making 420
RWHP then its making 500+ Hp at the crank. Do you have a recent dyno
results?
Thanks so much for the video bro. I really appreciate it!
I wish that removing the air filter would be as easy as in the 540i engine.
My 520d requires removing 3 engine covers, the cabin air filter box and the
cabin air duct. A total of 12 screws need to be unscrewed. Tahnks for the
video
No problem! What we V8 owners gain in the ease of removing our air filters,
we lose in maintenance fees. Haha.
Nice phrase Ryan, should be on your channel’s logo. when are you going to
dyno your M5? I am curious of how many horses escaped from your engine over
the past decade. Surely would be interesting!
did that fix the problem colt with the non idoling of the engine
You don’t need to own a BMW to watch content about the Ultimate Driving
Machine!
Not as of yet. Two new Camshaft Position sensors are on the way. Hopefully
they do the trick!
Thank you! My M5 has been serviced at the dealer it’s whole life, and has
been maintained as BMW recommends. With a PC ECU and K&N stuff, BMW said
around ~420 rear wheels, about 400 stock. I hope that’s an accurate number!
