It’s to bad i accidentally deleted the footage of me doing the rear trailing arm bushings off my camera, those should be done also but are a bit harder to do and would have loved to make a DIY on them as well. Anyways hopefully this vid helped you save some money and when you do it your self you know it’s done right, no mechanic will ever care about your car as much as you will.

Car feels allot more direct and responsive over stock bushings.

Yeah, right 🙂

Thanks man, this DIY guide is spot on!
just did this modication on my e36 compact. bought a cheap multitool to cut out the bushing and used my old dremel to cut the inside bushing. Took me about 2 hours to complete on both sides.

I have had zero vibrations at any speed with these bushings. Car feels allot more direct and responsive over stock bushings.

SKUS ANWOLEK says:

i’d say it’s not totally necessary when only doing the bushings, but while you’re under the car have a look at tie rods and ball joints. I did my outer ball joints right after these bushings then took it in for an alignment and it was not off by much.

Any steering wheel vibrations above 60mph with these?

Chilly says:

Good Job! Is a wheel alignment after this installation necessary?

The lube comes with the PowerFlex bushing kit.

I need these bushings and had no idea how easy it was to change em. Awesome diy vid. Looking forward to more vids.

great work! One question: what did you use to lubricate the bushing? any requirement for the lube? I’m thinking about buying a new bushing from ebay. I saw many other videos and it seems a little bit hard to put the bushing on.

SKUS ANWOLEK says:

Thanks alot, i’ve had poly bushings in all three of my e36’s in the last ten years, but this is my first with the purple powerflexes. The cheaper black poly bushes i’ve used before are similar i just have use a vise to press them in. I have the powerflex poly RTAB’s on order and vid be installing when they arrive, should have another DIY also.

Wow, great job man!. I’ve done bushings on all my e36s but I never seen bushings like the ones in this video. They must be new on the market for e36’s because ALL I’ve seen and gotten are the bushings that u need a press to get them into the “lollipop”. Great vid and if you decide to do any other diy vids I’ll be excited to check them out. Kudos!
