Cat back means from the catalytic section of the exhaust back to the
muffler. The mid section has the cats and resonators. So it is a
catback.There is no such thing as an axle back unless you cut the muffler
off of a cat back. Which makes no sense

Really helpful! Just to make sure, you pretty much only swapped out the
stock axle-back, not the cat-back.

too bad an aa race exhaust for the e36 is basically one large straight pipe
that goes all the way up to the headers…this isnt an aa catback either,
go do a google image search for”e36 aa catback” and you tell me if they
look the same
