I have this installed but now the halos aren’t on when the engine is
running. but they work when I lock/unlock and open the doors. could this be
a fuse?
The video is good but you need to go a little more in depth regarding how
the harness connection is made. I didn’t see where you connected the molex
connection to the white box behind the headlights, you also didn’t show the
lead ends being connected and didn’t specify where the fuse should be
connected. Overall it’s straight to the point but needs more detail.
What about while I’m driving wouldn’t the interior lights be off,as well as
the halos?
Thanks guys, I install my halo rings in my bmw m3 e46.
Very soon.
This relay harness works off two trigger points. As long as one trigger is
active the relay will provide power to the angel eyes. Example, if you
unlock the car and have one trigger connected to the interior light the
angel eyes will come on. When the interior lights fade off so will the
AE’s. When you start the car (position 2 or ignition) the angel eyes will
turn on and stay on until the car is turned off.
Umnitza sells it.
How sad
The reason I went through the driver side vs the passenger side for the
secondary trigger wire was the length of that wire. I knew the driver’s
door interior light wiring is part of the main harness of the car. I traced
the wire back to the footwell, tapped into that, and it was all good from
there. I didn’t try it on the passenger side to be honest. I only tapped
into the DME with the primary trigger wire there.
On the E39 you have to run the trigger wire through the firewall under the
brake booster on the drivers side. It will come out near the dead pedal.
From there you have to tap the wire into the drivers side door positive
cable. Like I said, it can be done but it takes some work. Definitely
easier on the E46.
just installed my depo angel eyes ddi you have a problem with warning
lights on your dash? im guessing its from the old parking lights and remote
adjust for your low beams to being plugged in anymore with the new
headlights?
More m3 videos?
Definitely more modern than before.
So you tapped them to run as a DRL so does this mean your regular DRLs will
come on as well because i am looking to just have angel eyes as DRLs not
the other ones help pls
Nice job. How similar is this to the e39?
if you hit the dome lights inside, will that also trigger the angel eyes?
Thanks. I have a video installing this harness on an E39. It is definitely
not as easy but doable. Also requires modification of the harness to make
it work too.
i saw your video. i have a comparable harness from ddm tunning. mine came
with two trigger wires though. where do i connect those exactly? I know one
goes to the ecu obviously, but the other? is that the one we are supposed
to connect to the interior lighting? where exactly is that wire located?

@nigelsevier ???
Yes, my friend had issues. On some of these cars you need to install a bulb
out warning canceler.
IDK man, not my car. I don’t ask questions lol.
Yes, it can be done. However it is slightly more involving as these
harnesses are designed to work with the E46’s layout. The E39 is slightly
different and requires modification to the harness for perfect fitment. I
have a video discussing this and another video I will upload in the coming
days going over the modifications to the relay harness.
Pink engine bay cover?
nice looking
