Not that big of a deal. This is a torque wrench that works both ways and nothing will happen if you use it to undo the bolts. Works exactly the same whether you go left or right. You can use the same torque wrench to bolt down anything with “left hand” thread as well as check to make sure the bolts are not over torqued when you undo them… I’m not going even close to the max of this wrench, so no harm at all.

Thanks a lot man, you saved me money. Great video bro!!!

AKABLACKKGYPSY says:

Dude! Are u using a torque wrench to do all that work? Smh I know u know that’s bad if u plan on using it for accurate tightening in the long run…

Thanks for this tutorial! I used it to change the brake pads for my BMW E36. I didn’t have a brake pad sensor on mine so saved a little job there.

bimerok says:

Not exactly. There are two e36’s and one e30 🙂

cristiancr791 says:

I just realized… THERE IS THREE FUCKING E36s in this videos LOL

bimerok says:

Yes it is 🙂

Great video. Much appreciated. By the way, don’t let fan boys get on your case about modifications. It’s your choice and the fact that you kept the BMW frame and swapped the engine still makes you a BMW fan boy in my eyes. Keep the videos coming! May I suggest a boot lid installation. I’m itching to install a vorsteiner or cls boot lid on my 2009 E90

nice thank you

The BMW brake sensor is not a very reliable indicator of when to replace your pads. It is usually activated at the very last moment when there is almost no pad left. I had cases when the pads were beyond save point, but the sensor still did not come on. The best way is to visually check your brakes and replace them before sensor goes off.

Joshua Williams says:

With the E36, should the brake sensor come on when it’s time to replace? I have a light grinding in the front end when braking, and want to know if it’s time to replace pads.

bimerok says:

Well, I hope you put a lot on your bet, because you would loose your bet.

Manuel Garcia says:

I bet your stopping distance has increased by a lot

You have another subscriber my friend. Good Job! Thank you for taking the time out to video this. The wheel studs are really cool braddah! Little too much for the wifes car but they look bodashious!

Matt Ford says:

Hey,
What is your wheel size and offset ? Look like a good offset and JJ on your car.

bimerok says:

It could be either front or rear or both. You really need to look at how much of the pads you have left and determine if you need both axles or just one. Also, since your light came on, you will also need to replace the brake sensor(s) too.

bigganeater says:

hi, i have a 95 bmw525i and the brake linings warning light appears on the dash, does this mean i need new front and rear brake pads?

gagozo says:

great instructional video! thanks for posting it

Andrius Rumskas says:

Wha tthe heck Corvette engine !

wez1to2 says:

Have a ”little” modifications lol

joenephilims1 says:

damn it i used the 7mm allen socket and i couldn’t get those calipers out. They’re too loose and slippery. are u sure it’s 7mm? or do i need to release the brake sensor first before unscrew the calipers?.

joenephilims1 says:

well done indeed. just the kind of video that i need to watch to change my Bimmer brake pads. TY dude

zterilized says:

You are the MAN! Good narrating and step by step procedure!

bimerok says:

Yes, it would be 99% similar… maybe the bolt sizes are different, other than this you will be all good!
