Thanks for your upload, I had water getting in my rear lenses so I done
what you done in this video changing the foam seals with new seals that
were a much denser foam than original… Problem solved thanks
Great video! Thank you, thank you!!!
So what did you do that made the light work again? The passenger side
driving “LED” strips are out.
You mentioned in passing that you would post some information from BMW
about an issue with the LEDs. I can’t find any mention of it below.
Would you mind doing so as my daughter’s car has a problem with the
right-hand-side rear LEDs that I can’t solve. They do not light up at all.
Thank you.
Thanks! This video saved me $300USD
no, just turn off the car and have the key out. even if you put in the key
by accident half way through all you’ll see is a light warning on the dash
which will go away once you have them plugged in properly. the car will
remember the fault until its cleared, but you wont have any annoying
warning lights or anything like that. thanks for the question
Do you have to remove the negative terminal from the battery?
It is NOT the e87 model…. 🙂
okay pleaseeeee answer this. i have a 2011 128i, i wanted to buy some
headlights but it says it fits the e87 models yet is listed in the e82
models. i have an e82, will the headlights fit?!?!? please answer thanks
right you are. im not very good at differentiating between
sedan/wagon/convertible/etc within model numbers. im changing the title now
i dont see why they wouldnt- all 1 series bumpers and hoods are essentially
the same, except for sports bars and whatever but thats more on the bottom
side. i dont see why the electrical plug should be any different as well
except for xenon vs halogen. where are you buying them from? if you can
remove your headlights and compare them before buying you will be cheering,
but if youre buying from ebay thats intrinsically dangerous. if its online
can you post the link here?
its ok! nice video 🙂
Great Video, but why exactly are you removing the seils of the NEW
taillight?
because those seals are still faulty- new taillights are still being
manufactured with the wrong seals. if youre doing the job you’ll notice
that the new seals are denser and darker than the bad ones. apparently some
sort of gas emitted from LED lights damages the old seals somehow.
