I just got my hands on the latest android display from AvinUSA, and wanted to get this into my car!
Regardless if your coming from the OEM 6.5 or 8.8 screen (and wow this will make a difference) or a previous build of this device, this is a really easy upgrade. The screen quality alone makes this worth it, but then you also get all of the other android functions, app store, WAZE, updated navigation (that you don’t have to pay BMW for updates!!) and everything else.
Thank you to AvinUSA for another great product and happy to walk through the installation process. This is something you can easily do at home with a few simple tools and less than an hour, even if you have never done this kind of work before.
This is just the install video and I will have a full function review video up shortly.

Hi dear,
My f30 haven't OEM rear camera.
If I buy an aftermarket one, how can I connect it to the android device?
Thank you for the answer
If the sound is running through aux, can I still use idrive radio and hear the navigation direction?
Can I be connect to the car bt (to use original mic) and just use hotspot for the Android side?
If you start in iDrive side, does it boot fast like iDrive did before ? Thanks !
How fast does the rear camera comes up ? Does it need Android side to boot up ?
Did you manage to find out which models DON'T need to use an AUX cable from the harness to the armrest ? I would like to check this before buying.
Hey. Thanks for a lot of great videos! Just installed an Android 9.0 screen in my BMW F31 2013. Now the AUX input in the armrest is no longer working. What would you suggest I check up on?
Can you make this ALWAYS start on original BMW iDrive side ? Booting on Android takes way to long. Thanks.
Really useful video, got mine installed and working last weekend!
One question though, if I may? I get a fair amount of digital clipping over the aux connection (really distracting and ruins an otherwise awesome product!) – is it better to pair the Avin unit to the car's Bluetooth and use that for audio streaming? Is there a better way?
I'm using Car Play exclusively, so would be nice to get decent quality audio out of it.
Any advice would be great!
Thanks
I think I'm right when I say that once you open up one of the apps like the sat nav, or YouTube, you don't have control over it with the idrive wheel anymore. It only controls the main menu system.
Can I boot to original idrive before going to the Android side? Can I connect the phone bt to idrive and not for Android in order to use the original mic? Is it easy to install and use different launcher?
By mine if i put in reverse the park sensors doesnt show up in android side. With the original Bmw screen it shows up the Sensors. Do you know any solution
Can you split drive and android view on the same screen with the new model
Is this the model that comes with the snapdragon processor and supports built in 4g LTE?
Nice video. Can you do a video with a walkthrough in the New Android inferface?
