Let me ask you something. Is it possible to remove the whole front of the
car WITHOUT disconnecting the A/C lines? I’m getting ready to perform a
timing belt job on my Passat AEB but i’ll need as much space as possible.
yes you can , you can do it 2 ways ..1 is unhook all front end fasteners
and use a threaded rod 1 on each side where you took out bumper shocks
attach threaded rods then pull radiator support and clamp vise grips on
threaded rod both sides to hold support away from eng ..or unhook support
and carefully swing is away about a foot to work on eng but be careful not
to trip on it while working..
