That thing must have sounded like a diesel with those valves touching the
slugs…The A4 I sorted was a V6…I can now rip the front off in about
10mins…BTW…good luck with the surgery.
@thisisunreal1 I Have 2 Volvo’s and s80 and an XC90 AWD Turbo the red one i
painted in a video, i have had the S80 for years and have not put a dime
into it except tires…
What do you think of Volvo’s? I know you’ve got at least the one.I’ve only
owned American vehicles but, when our second car got smushed, I ended up
replacing it with a 99 S80 6T. I really like it. I’ve heard there are
issues with this vintage but, mine seems to ride smooth as silk & got some
kahunas under the hood! Cheers!
I saw part 1,2 and 3 you said you were going to put a new tbelt on the
motor before you slapped it in. i saw the whole front clip tear down, just
wanted to se the part where you install the tensioner and whatnot. Just
bought a 2003 passat wagon with 99k on it and I aint driving it an inch
till I replace the belt, I even towed that durn thing home, just my luck
it’d break on the way… thanks for the quick responce chief. Joe
hey Dave i just have to ask u if u are going back to truck driving.?/ just
asking huh and u know lot about car engine how long did u have your on shop
for.?? and what made u to drive truck im just asking u don’t have to
Anderson that will that’s my question for u.?
Is that cankshaft pulley keyed to the crank, if so where your mark is off
it might be one of the reasons why car wont start, Im taking it that the
car has a crankshaft position sensor, the cam shafts are lined up, but if
the crank is out that much, the signal is being sent too late. Just an
observation.
Are you looking for a vid on just the belt change or a complete tear down
to get to it…
