For the price of a sheet or two of plywood and scrap 2x lumber this operation would go so much more smoothly. But it is what it is.

Awesome footage and walkthrough. I was totally expecting the first power steering pump bolt to fall because you tempted Murphy with the “e” word. 🙂 I wish you were hooked on the B7’s instead of the B8’s just because that’s what I happen to have but I suppose they’re close enough and I don’t plan on doing an engine swap anytime soon. :). Thank you for sharing your knowledge.

Love the videos , I tell all my audi and VW friends to tune in, random question , I have limited shed space and a slight uphill into my shed , I'm rebuilding my a4 engine over Christmas (classic oil consumption) now this might sound dum but how do I bypass the electric brake and shifter so I can move my car out and swap parts over on my engine , do I need to connect electronics back up and is there a shift lock bypass ? Cheers
