I had to heat the caliper where the “caliper slide pin” is inserted. The
grease was all gone and the pin had rusted into place. I used a propane
torch to heat it up to almost red hot and then I could remove the pin. I’m
don’t know about the All Wheel Drive, but my guess is that they are very
similar.

What do you mean by using “heat” to get the pins out? Will it be any
different for my A6 that is an All Wheel Drive?
