Forget it. Did some research and I believe the bastard changed the cluster. I have a 00 a4 and the cluster does not match yours or other 00 models. I don’t have the screen with the tach. I have an analog clock. He must have put lower milage older cluster to sell the car. Car Fax says the car has more miles then the cluster. Gonna buy the right cluster and rebuild engine. Just floored it and fucked up something. It vibrates and sounds like a Subaru.
Just scanned my car today. None of the warning lights work. only thing working is speed, tach, volt, gas, oil temp and left turn signal. Scan tool can’t even get into the cluster. Please send me contact info. Or better yet post it up. Im sure you will make bank off all the Audi fans asking. We take pride in our cars working right.
My cluster needs repair and this is a great video on how to get it out. But you provide no information about how to get intouch with you. Please advise. stu@seena.net
I figured out how to get the cluster out on my A4, but can you just take out the plexiglass? There is something on the back side of mine that looks like a scratch but I think it is something that could be cleaned if I can get behind there. There is also some dust and dirt in there. I heard the plexiglass was glued on so there was no way to take it off without breaking? Any advice?
First off, great video. Although very simple I was expecting much more effort to remove the instrument cluster.
Second, apparently YOU fix the clusters? Please inform me of the details on how to go about completing this. I have a 2000 A4 and would LOVE you have the FIS fixed. Thanks!
Please email me at jimmysnapps@hotmail.com with the details and cost.
on an Audi S3 there is no need to remove the top of the steering colomn. just push up on the plastic top cover and then pull hard towards you and it pops out to reveal the screws. long neck screwdrivers where the only way I could get the scews out, they are in tight, tighten them a bit first then unscrew. WD40 helped i think 🙂
I have a 98 a4 quattro 2.8 and my lcd screen just had four lines fade right down the middle how much would b replair and how do I send it to u my email is kstanlick@live.com
I followed this video for my 2000 Audi s3. All went well until i went to put it back together. The bloody top cover of the steering column cover wont go back in. Yours came out really easy but mine took a bit of wiggling. Really pissing me off now, looks as if the steering wheel is in the way but i dont want to fiddle with the wheel as i dont want to mess it up even more
Very helpful clip as my middle cluster is so faded I can barely read it anymore. How do I get in touch with you to send my cluster to you for repair? I’d also like to have chrome rings installed around my gauges. I have a 2001 Audi A4.
