Setting inside the car to Change Wiper position.
This must not be this guys personal car or he would know
Many VW/Audi cars have a setting in the car computer DOH

John West says:

There is actually a setting to "Change Wiper Position". It points them straight up so you can replace them.

The one side being demonstrated here is easy to replace this way, but the wiper on the other side doesn't have enough clearance to get through the gap, at least not without bending the blade.

Jonathan Simmons says:

With the car on or in accessory mode, in the Audi MMI, go to car settings and service and maintenence options. There will be a wiper blade service option. Click it and set it to on. The wipers will come on in the up position and stay there. Replace wiper blades. Set option to off. Donezo.

Well this is def not the right way to do it. Just put your car in stand by, turn it off and press your wipers 1 time. Your wipers will come up. No need for pulling up the hood.
