Oh sure, I like LED lights in general because it does not require a filament (which are fragile) like typical light bulbs to generate light so they last longer and burn cooler. Yes, check the specs for the car (motortrend has a good website for this). I’m not sure if S Line has the headlight differences, and I’m also not sure if bi-xenon is standard now or if it’s still part of an optional package.

Oh, I wonder if the 2009 or 2010 SLINE have the bi-xenon headlights. Let me double check this. If so, I think I might look into getting an old 2009 or 2010. My old truck, Mercury Mountaineer, was destroyed by Sandy the Hurricane here in NYC. This will be my new car since Oct 2012. Thanks again.

I do have one more question. Do you like the LED lights that are on the new 2011 Q7? It is all around the headlights. When a Q7 car is behind your car, you can tell.

The Photo Booth Chick says:

Oh, I am looking to see which 2010 model have this already install. Thanks for the tips and the quick response.

And last thing, the Q7 won out with the family because of a number of things: lots of space for second row passengers, third row seating was comfortable for kids, handles like a car not an SUV, purchased the $500 maintenance program (no charge except for $500 for maintenance up to 50,000 miles; ask your dealer because they don’t publicize this), excellent bad weather handling. And lastly, after 100,000+ miles, it’s very reliable. No mechanical problems (knock on wood). Just needs brake pads.

My Q7 is the first year production run in the US, 2007. You can install the LED daytime running lights by purchasing the whole lighting assembly. You’ll be looking at $500+ for each side. Now the headlights get more complicated because of AFS, Auto-Leveling, etc. It would be much easier just to get the car with the bi-xenon headlights already in place because there’s a lot going with those headlights.

The Photo Booth Chick says:

What year is your car? Is it older than 2010? If I purchase an 2009 or 2010 Q7, can I also install this and the LED headlights that looks so amazing on this truck?

Last question, do you prefer the Q7 over the BMW X5? Do yo feel the Q7 is too big? I was looking at the Q7 diesel.

I do not have this car but already had jobs in shops or repair install mode with xenon headlights from the factory. and from what I know the audi Q7 uses xenon 3s but also and even D1S a difference and that the bulb does not contain mercury >d3s/d3r< example: d1/d2 contains mercury d4/d3 not contain mercury the bases are equal
