Door lock actuator replacement A4 B8 | How to DIY Audi VW

Door won’t lock? Replacing your door latch assembly is a common repair for issues with intermittent alarm problems & door locking and in my case, installing a new 8J1837016B was the solution.

My Audi A4 B8 door wouldn’t lock, either by using the master door key, any other fob, or switches inside the car. The alarm system also would not arm. Once the ECU was scanned via Ross-Tech VCDS, I found an instance of P02115 – Locking Unit for Central Locking fault logged as well.

Thank you to @FCP Euro for quality parts at reasonable prices and quick shipping to Canada.
