Excellent thanks for this

Justin Simmons says:

CAN SOMEONE DO A VIDEO ON HOW TO REPLACE A STOCK BOSE AMP IN A 2000-2004
AUDI TT PLEASE?

Factory Car Stereo Repair says:

Presently I do not have any guides available for the rear speaker removal.
As for the back speakers being scratchy… I’d guess there is a factory
amplifier in the vehicle and the aftermarket stereo is over driving this
amplifier, or you may have bad speakers.

fondoo says:

does the stereo request a code after plugging everything back in?

Factory Car Stereo Repair says:

Don’t know this problem?… Maybe disconnecting the negative terminal from
the battery for several minutes, then connecting may reset the system and
bring it back to working. Otherwise, this may be a stereo problem.

Factory Car Stereo Repair says:

I have found no software available. Only the dealership can decode this
stereo and it has to be in the car…

Factory Car Stereo Repair says:

If you still have the original stereo, they usually put a label on the
stereo that identifies all the wires.

Factory Car Stereo Repair says:

Nothing beats the right tool. I have seen some aftermarket stereo removal
tools used with modifications.

Factory Car Stereo Repair says:

Bring it by, we will be happy to film the video, Longwood, Fl.

Factory Car Stereo Repair says:

The tools pull a spring in on the side of the stereo. Try pushing the
spring in on the side of the stereo while pulling on the tool. This should
release the tool from the stereo.

natividad martinez says:

Hi, great post very useful to me as I am to enbark to replace old Chorus
with Concert on my 2003 TT. Bentley manual book says any removing of the
stereo will trigger the alarm. They suggest alarm should be off. Here it
looks like it went without disconnecting the alarm. Any experience would be
much appreciated.

mayhembiff says:

Slick! Thanks!

Jake Oliver says:

Hi there, I wonder if you could help me, I have an Audi A3 2001 and I
recently I bought a sony aftermarket stereo, but the wiring harness
supplied does not correspond with the audi harness. Could you maybe help me
identify the different wires on the audi side?

Factory Car Stereo Repair says:

In most cases, yes. There should be a code card, it looks like a white
credit card, in the glove box. Or, the vehicle needs to go to the
dealership for them to pull the code on the stereo.

Cemil Bolut says:

i put a new cd changer inside… but now … he doesn’t recognize it…!!
there is no cd changer.. that’s what he says… please help me

willemnicolaas007 says:

Hello. I was wondering if you can please help me. I have an 2003 Audi A3
with symphony 2 system that i took out and replaced with a sony unit. All
the speakers are playing, but for some reason is my back speakers scraching
when i play a bit load. So i want to replace the with aftermarket speakers.
I cant seen to figure out how to get to the back speakers ie. Opening or
removing that side panel to gain access to the speakers. Can you please
assist me on how to open back panel/trim. Thanx

Tyson Mackinnon says:

@cooltyson thanks

findutemps says:

Thank you soooo much.! Took it out, fuse blown from sparky winter jump
start. Changed fuse and she worked first time, didn’t even need the code!
One key still stuck in its slot but thats a problem for tomorrow. That 6
hour drive looks 10x more enjoyable now!

nirosh89 says:

@willemnicolaas007 another way is directly running the speakers from your
aftermarket deck.

Tyson Mackinnon says:

I don’t have the tools. How could I do this? I need to access my 4 way
flasher button which has been pushed in too far and is stuck.

Factory Car Stereo Repair says:

Tools are available on line, auto part stores and Harbor Frieght. Or, some
metal or plastic cut to the shape.

fondoo says:

i was able to find my code in the manual folder. thanxs. i have my din
tools inserts, but am having trouble removing the tools. do you have tricks
to remove them? thanxs again for the video

Factory Car Stereo Repair says:

Tools may be found at most auto part stores and on line. As for the Code,
you will have to take the vehicle to the dealership. Check your glove box,
maybe the code can be located in the paper work. Or, if you are real luck,
someone may have written it on the stereo.

estotlar says:

Thanks, but when I treak the key and try to pull it out, my key just come
flying out and the radio stays put. Any thoughts?

James Elzey says:
