Audi TT Mk1 1.8T – How to Replace the Crankshaft Position Sensor – P0322 error code

What does a Crankshaft Position Sensor do? How to replace a crankshaft position sensor on an Audi TT Mk1.

My car recently started to stall when stationary and engine refused to start.
So I used an OBD2 reader to diagnose a P0322 fault with the car which is a faulty crankshaft position sensor.

so this is my guide identifying the causes of a bad crankshaft position sensor, the symptoms of a bad crankshaft position sensor and of course how to remove a cranckshaft position sensor and how to replace a crankshaft position sensor.

Had this done on my V6 several weeks ago and so far no more stalling so guess it fixed the problem. Interesting as always to see what it looks like, where it goes and more importantly, what it actually does. Thanks Andy.
