looked like Pennzoil oil filter, ugh.. stay away from those 10 minute oil
change outfits people, and if you own Audi/VW, only use MANN Oil
Filters. They have better internal pressure valves than generic oil
filters, to supply needed oil to engine upon start-up.

damn, thats an expensive mess!, both my RAV’s have those sandwiched on oil
coolers too, tho I have not heard of them loosening, I will check that
internal tube when I do a filter change next!

It seemed odd to me that one side was flat-out-nothing,as far as
compression. If it were a problem with the rings,I would expect some kind
of number for a dry test,and maybe for it to go up with the wet test…I
thought; “it’s gotta be valves wide open,for some reason,probably timing
issues.” Nice to see/prove it with the borescope.
