Can you post a video on how to fix an Audi a6 break line thanks
We weren’t able to find torque specs on those, maybe another commenter can weight in if they have them. Really you can just go tight with a socket and use some blue Loctite if you’re worried about the bolts backing out. Hope that helps.
Do you have the torque specs for the Caliper sliders and bracket?
Thanks for the video, you made it seem so simple! Do you have a video on how to replace the coolant temp sensor on a 02 audi a6 3.0?
We’ve put it on our to-do list, keep an eye out for it.
Please put a video for audi a8 2008 rear brakes replacement
I believe it was a 7mm allen, check your car though, allens can strip easily if the size is only a little off. It should be the same, you’ll need to retract the pistons together though, otherwise one will push out as the other retracts. Try laying a wrench across them and compressing that crossmember instead.
What was the tool you used to remove the sliders? And will it be the same for a 4.2, since its double piston? Thank you!
Great video and thank you!
Im told you have to open a bleed valve while compressing the caliper? Thank you for this good sir, was very helpful.
The process is very similar, take your time and verify the bolt sizes and you should be fine. Give us a call at 1-860-388-9001 if you have any questions.
Nice videos very complete and well done. I have a 2002 A6 AWD 4.2 how if any difference would there be for my cars front and rear brakes? If there is where can I go to see the process the way these videos lay it all out. Thanks
Helpful video, i change a fuel line that Goes to the caliper, and Now the brake light flashes
I started with rear,on my brothers a8L and its super easy to change, also sliding the rotor out makes the job super easy- But found new part to be replaced, wheel bearing.
I believe it’s a similar process but it’s hard to say with certainty as that trim wasn’t offered in the states, let us know what you find when you try it out.
Yup the process would be the same as long as you don’t have the performance package brakes as those are solid non floating calipers. Hope that helps!
Hi Mike,
First of all – Great specialist and great video – thank you. I would like to ask you if this process will work for my AUDI 2005 A4 B7 2.0 TDI 140hps /UK model/RHS.
Many thanks in advance and looking forward to future videos from your shop.

Nice video, and clean job – is 2004 A8L same way?
I live in north western CT and I swear I have seen this guy before in person… I guess its possible. Anyways great job!
you shouldnt use copper grease to lubricate the slider boots – it will eat through the rubber. you really should be using silicone grease.
You’ll want to watch our “Audi Brake Replacement (A6 Rear Pads & Discs) FCP Euro” video for the rear brakes, but it should be very similar. But let us know if you have any questions, hope that helps!
Will these same instructions work for rear 1999 a8….
This was good!! very well explained, gives me the confidence to have a go! :-) thanks
thanks alot mike!!! your videos are VERY educational and thorough!
Thank you for the information and for such a fast reply. I had no idea Duralast was not even an American brand.
Best go with Brembo, around here Duralast is known pretty well as a Cheap Chinese knockoff. You can open up a can of worms with the ceramic vs semi-metallic debate, but if you’re asking me personally I do prefer ceramics like the Akebonos, you can find them in our kits in the description above. Hope that helps!
Wow that was an excellent video I feel like I just got auto shop class credits. Please make a video for 2008 A4 2.0T front wheel drive, there is an S-line badge on front grill I have no idea what that means but I figured the more info on my car model the better. I have to replace my front rotors and pads soon. Was the Brembo rotor really needed or can I use a store brand like Duralast rotors? I also have question on brake pads, should I use ceramic pads or semi-metallics?excellent video thks. -Z
The caliper bolts are 2-3/16 in. length; M9-1.25 thread according to Audi’s specifications, the caliper bracket bolts are unfortunately I couldn’t find the same information on the caliper bracket bolts, but of course you can talk to one of our ASE techs at 877-634-0063, I’m sure they could help you out!
It’s brake hose #8N0611707A, it’s not listed on our site but if you want any help ordering it just give us a ring at 877-634-0063, hope that helps!
