H9 12V bulbs are for Audi A6 (C5) long beam. They come with a black plastic female socket at the base of the bulb.
H1 12V bulbs are for the dipped beam. They have a circular metal plate at the base of the bulb. The bulb in this video is clearly a H1 dipped beam bulb.
And while we’re at it, the Audi A6 (C5) uses H7 12V bulbs for the front foglights.
I replaced my light bulb thanks to this vid. Very helpful thanks.
Can this also be done to an Audi A4 2002?

You should always disconnect your battery cables when doing any kind of electrical car service.
That light is going to die in a week! Never touch the light bulb with your fingers
This was super helpful! I was able to change the bulbs on my Audi, thanks to your tutorial and it was pretty easy!
the 1997-2004 Audi A6 was assembled in
Neckarsulm, Germany
Monterrey, Mexico
Changchun, China
Jakarta, Indonesia
And, as others say – NEVER hold the bulb glass with your fingers. Wear a tight work glove e.g. surgical glove.

DO NOT TOUCH THE NEW HALOGEN BULB WHEN YOU REPLACE IT.
Skin oil can accumulate on the surface of halogen bulbs and overheat the surface of the bulb, causing it to burst.
Unless I’m mistaken, my low beam on my driver side went out and the prices I see are like $150…?

You can use a Sylvania H1 bulb, they’re relatively cheap. In the United States, they run about 17-20 Euros (A conversion), in Germany, maybe more.
