Audi A4 (2014) – New Battery Replacement

Learn how to install a new battery in a Jeep Grand Cherokee or Dodge Durango. We’ll show you how to replace/change/remove with simple tips and tricks to help get you started!

Tool List: 13mm wrench, 10mm wrench, 10mm socket, Torque Wrench

Because of design and weight considerations, some vehicles like this 2014 Audi A4 have their starting battery located in the trunk. Although this video may provide you with the basic procedures, we recommend that you check with the vehicle manufacture’s step by step procedures found in service/repair manuals for the vehicle you are working on.

Even if your vehicle did not come with an AGM battery, you can upgrade to an AGM battery for up to 2x the life. AGM can be found at most retail outlets. You can learn more about AGM here: https://www.autobatteries.com/en-us/battery-technology-types/absorbent-glass-mat-agm-battery

The use of a memory saving procedure will keep the memory alive on the vehicle’s computer during the battery replacement procedure. Referring to our Memory Saving video will provide you with various memory saving procedures that can be used according to vehicle manufacturer’s requirements. https://youtu.be/vSP3ShcaFgQ

Some late model vehicles must have the 12 volt battery registered with the vehicle’s Battery Control Module or Computer after replacement. See these videos on Battery registration and coding for more details on the procedures at https://youtu.be/TGKohKZHzr0 & https://youtu.be/cxOK_DczRGg

Always wear safety glasses and gloves when working with or near batteries.

I just spent 30 min looking for the dam battery trying to help a lady..luckily I found positive and negative rods completely separate under the hood..Car started (THANK GOD)…what a crap design RICH People car..If you happen to buy this for status but your an average blue collar you better trade this P.O.S every 3 years or lease..DEFINITELY NOT A CAR TO PAY OFF AND KEEP FOR YEARS unless your planning to learn inside and out…Reminds me of the over rated ,POS. BMW…
