i reused the clamps that go on the heater core . as for the hose end that
goes to the flange itself, it’s just a piece of thick wire that snaps into
a groove . I did reuse the plastic retaining clip that holds the sensor in
the flange . Good idea to replace the o-ring . my o-ring was flat and
caused a leak . This was at 105k miles .
Do u prefer reusing the old clamp on the flange or recommend using a new
standard hose clamp? Serious question… I sometimes reuse those big clamps
but always replace the one time use clamps with standard clamps.
Nicely explained,now I will go stick my mug under the hood & hope my
coolant leak is coming from under my header so I can hopefully deal with it
in the street.But I’m not holding my breath & am already envisioning a
visit to my mechanic “Cash” (appropriately named) , to hand him some
