The battery type is CR1620, 3V. The key fob uses two of them. They are each about the size of a US dime.
Do not confuse it for the CR2016 — the 2016 is larger diameter (closer to a US nickel) and seems to be much easier to find in stores.
Hi. Could you give some details of the type of battery in the key fob please so I can get two of them before I open it up? I’ve read that if the batteries are swapped over quickly then the key fob doesn’t need reprogrammin, so I’d like to have them ready before I open the key fob up. Many thanks.
