+Roy Foord Yes, I hired him to stand behind me to narrate everything I do.
:)

haoudoin says:

+punkpasta123 yes, putting it back on is a lot easier than take it off…

Mike Himko says:

thanks for this man! much appreciated!

punkpasta123 says:

were you able to get the grille back on?

INumba1Stunna says:

Did your A4 ever have a problem with oil sludge? I was thinking of getting
one of these cars, but I heard lots of these cars get it.

haoudoin says:

@INumba1Stunna I haven’t had any problems. Always use synthetic oil! Mobile
1 alll the time, every time. The only problems I am having is the interior
falling apart. The weather stripping on my passenger side window fell off.
The cup-holder that comes out of the dash also broke by the guy at the car
wash. That’s it. Oh, let me add that the ignition coils had a recall by
audi. It causes misfires. Keep in mind recalls are different than warranty.
But you already knew that. 🙂

Good video – it worked perfectly. Can not emphasize enough to be as
delicate as possible when popping the chrome trim and the grill out of the
hood.

haoudoin says:

I used a flat head screw driver and carefully pried it loosed. Please be
very careful and do this at your own risk. As you can see from other
commenters that the chrome piece is somewhat delicate…

J Wong says:

how can you pop the chrome trim out? Thanks in advance.

Roy Foord says:

Is it Mark Wahlberg talking?

falcon GT says:

(not the oil filter) It will clogg up the oil pump will eventually seize
through excessive sludge ( this is the turbo model 1.8T)

falcon GT says:

Others maybe interested …If you do not use synthetic oil the sludge will
seize and block the oil filter and the tell tail is the oil light on
intermediately the finally on completely thats when its too late … later
sludge will effect the cooling pipes and lead to turbo problem

haoudoin says:

Thanks for confirming the synthetic oil part. Lets emphasize on this a bit
more as I’m starting to hear more and more that some B5 – A4 owners having
sludge issues.
