Thanks for the video, looks like you uploaded it just in time for me to
need it. Mine’s a big-turbo ’02 TT quattro, just starting to show some RPM
rise ahead of MPH under full boost in the mid-RPM range at 160K miles. Does
that seem normal? I’m trying to decide whether to do the job myself… I’ve
done several clutches (Fords & Fieros) but this adds a few steps. Nicely
made video, much appreciated.
I have a friend with a 2003 VW Passat 1.8T. Does it have the same
transmission as the one you did? I think it has around 180k miles. No sense
pushing it. Will replace the clutch as soon as the weather gets warm.

Forgot to ask. Was the flywheel a dual-mass type and did you have it turned
to resurface it? Thanks.
