Aie!!!! You’re like Fonzie with the thumbs up!
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! ’90 Integra battery dead 2 nights in a
row, I mean so dead that it wouldn’t take a trickle charge, but the car
would still jump just fine. Removed my ham radio power feed from the main
fuse block thinking it perhaps shorted somewhere (of course my voltmeter
died at the same time, making this much harder to diagnose). It’s sunny as
hell this week in Southern CA, so I didn’t even notice that the brake
lights were on full, if not ever so slightly because the battery was almost
completely dead. Anyway, just before searching for this video, I found some
odd little plastic parts on the driver’s side floor. Bingo! Now I’m going
to go look for a nice little bolt and nut. Thanks Eric!
This problem nearly drove me crazy with my 93 RX7, why is there a freaking
hole there!?!?!? This problem would never even happen if the metal was just
flat without the hole.
A penny and some duct tape works as well. I did that with my Honda.
Great vid.
you could just krazy glue a penny where the oem stopper should be for the
switch to press against or krazy glue the oem stopper if it’s still usable.
the nut and bolt is a great idea, too, if you have one that fits.
hi eric nice video so your brother is the funny one
Im a dumb shit when it comes to cars b ut hey your explanation was simple
and now im a clever girl again . Didnt tell hubby i got the info from you

Any one have a clue why the brake dash light would come on an off rapidly?
hey eric what if the lights dont turn on and the automatric transmission

well.
Thanks man!! i had the same problem and it was the plastic spacer just like
yours! thanks agin!! you same my life.
“i’m also looking at these nuts…” lol. eric rules.
thx for the help. I used a penny with super glue to fix the problem. … it
was driving me crazy, but it was such an easy fix..
the video really helped….now without anything on…when pressing the
brake pedal in the lights turn on….that shouldn’t be right?
1990 Acura Integra GS 5spd…
Great video. I have this same problem on my 92 Accord. I’ll def use this
video. Thanks.
Replaced switch in 91 camaro after watching this. Thanks.
I had the same problem, after your video I fix it…
But without the key in ignition or the lights switch being turned on….
Now when I press on the pedal it turns the back lights on…
but nothing is turned on for the back light to turn on when pressing the
brake…they just do….
your break fluid is low
Thanks man.
Just finished the bolt fix. It worked like a charm and I didn’t have to
remove the switch to do it. Now, on to the two switches on the shifter. Any
video on those? Just want to clean the contacts up.
Thank you Eric, I followed your steps, and I was also missing that little
plastic piece, thanks for saving me some money.
When I had a 90 integra this happened to me and I just crazy glued a penny
between the empty space. And Bam problem solved
just had the exact same problem, fixed it just like you did here. thanks
Eric!

Ty your freakin awesome!
Thanks man you and Scotty at the best
why in the world do car manufactures use rubber pieces on the pedal , this
has happened to every car i’ve ever messed with . Its just stupid , make it
metal and bam , we would never ever have this problem again
Good fix Eric
Where is the switch on a 93 vigor?
Thank you Eric!! Cannot believe I encountered the exact issue where the
plastic cap broken off. And the fact that so many others had the same issue
over the last two months ;). Thanks for the vid that saved me $30 for the
brake switch and $80 for installation
thanks eric!!!!
Eric. Your videos are super helpful and a joy to watch! Those stupid
plastic pieces are such a pain. Had mine break and fall out as well in my
91 prelude. Jimmy rigged something to depress the plunger. Thanks for all
the detailed instruction on all these fixes. I’m doing my clutch master and
slave cylinder today. Watched your vid on that for some advice pre-install.
Thanks for making these!
