the light being on? My check engine light is on but I there is no MAIN.

Good video. Thanks
Eric I have a Acura MDX & the “Service due soon B1” light recently came on;
I just hit the 40K mark. Should I take it to a stealership? Or can I follow
this video & just reset it? Thank you in advanced
Hold down the SELECT/RESET button… not the INFO button… but thank you!
Hi Erick… I have a Tsx 2006 and Now the Light… Maintenece Due Soon..
Appear.. With B25? What’s that.. n the say 10% Oil life
@hondaslave THAT is what a good maintenance schedule can do for you, well
done and thanks for the comment.
Hey Eric, I have a problem with my o6 Ford Ranger. when I start it up its
at normal operating RPMs about 800 or so RPM, and when I put it into
reverse it drops down to about 450- 500 RPM and go back up. it happens
quick, and it happens every time I start it and put into reverse. Whats
going on with it?
How to turn off / restart vsa light on acura tl 2005 !!???
my 01 accord has 579,678 with all orignal engine, radiator, never charged
the ac, only changed the trans fluid every 30k, replaced original timing
belt at 189k,,now on third timing belt,,,guess what=i would start this car
and drive it to the artic ocean without turning the engine off…..
holy fuck 200k on a car that’s 5-6 years old???
I work at Firestone and we service ’08 Airport Shuttle vans with over 400k
on them…and they still run fine!
Off topic a lil but i needed a new Fob programed for my 2001 dodge durango
and couldn’t find any good info on the internet and the dealership wanted
like $100 to program it. Then a few weeks ago i was changing my oil and
while the oil was draining out i was reading the car manual. And behold
there were the instructions for reprogramming the fob. ALWAYS read through
the manual ! Will save you some cash.
Thanks for all the awesome tips and videos Eric, I apperciate them all
since I want to be a mechanic.
@SuperchargedMustang5 It’s like that with YT, the best thing to do is check
my website for the latest videos.
Homer Simpson allways cover up thoes service light whit electrical tape!
@thegreatdeerhunter Well my crystal ball is broken sorry however if you are
having several electrical issues start by checking the battery and it’s
connections as it is the heart of the electrical system and any problems
there will effect all the electrical systems.
@Compwhiz128 Have you tried removing the batt terminals for about 10-15
minutes then put it back on.
thanks for posting ;)))
I’m with ya on the gloves there Buddy!! Anytime I have to use somebody
elses stuff especially work trucks or heavy equipment I wear gloves!! There
are alotta scumbags out there!!☺
@RealCadde I’ve seen it all and then some, I’ll keep my gloves on thanks.
Haha, yeah we should all wear protective clothing when entering old
vehicles because what you don’t see is all the stuff on the inside that can
quite frankly be hazardous to your health. Just imagine the number of times
the driver has sneezed inside the car. Or farted. When buying a used car
you should take it to a forensics lab… Some cars have all kinds if stuff
in them like: boogers piss residue skin shavings poop drug traces gunshot
residue etc etc etc. Stay dirty!
@hondaftw1234 Drove fine, I like these cars.
@siemenstraffic That works too.
@corsie1987 To be honest it’s been 2 years since I washed my car so I don’t
see me making a ‘cleaning your vehicle’ video anytime soon.
@unboxingguru1 If you have an owners manual for your car I would look in
there to reset the oil life monitor, when I had my 2002 impala ls you reset
it through the radio. As for the security light it may be an issue with the
bcm (body control module) I think gm cars were known for that problem,
thats normally a dealership fix unless you know a mechanic or someone who
is good with cars. I’m not eric the car guy but I figure it couldn’t hurt
to give a suggestion. Good luck
@13FravelJ Not sure but I might start my checks by checking the idle
circuit.
@Compwhiz128 I believe that light comes on at a certain milage that
coinsides with the manufactures maintnince schedule maybe for a timing belt
or something simalar
@UBBERTANKER you’re right, but it needs to be shut off D: read somewhere it
requires use of a electronic tool.
@spelunkerd This is one of those cars, it monitors your driving habits and
adjusts the factory service schedule accordingly. I don’t know that you can
retrieve how many times the service reminder has been reset however, I
don’t have enough space here to comment on warranty claims however.
man that light has been buggin me for a minute. thanks bro!
@kuabara182 Fleet vehicles normally do last a long time as they get regular
service, it makes a huge difference in how long a vehicle will last.
I wonder what type of driving the owner does with this car, it’s only 6
years old and nearly 200,000 already. I drive a 97 Pathfinder and it only
have 145,000 miles on it.
@marsL001 Your quickly becoming my favorite fan.
awesome
@SuperchargedMustang5 That’s not cool.
Do you know what it means when it says that their is a service due now B25??
@theASEtech You might try unhooking the battery and touching the negative
cable to the positive cable to see if that clears it out, if not you may
still have an issue somewhere.
I need help..I have a 03 elantra gls and im getting horrible MPGs. Like
anywhere from 12-15 mpgs..I just had my spark plugs changed and I had the
starter replaced a few weeks back. I thought the spark plugs would help but
its not doing any better..I have no CEL, no starting issues, nothing. Im
running out of options and its getting to the point where I dont wanna
drive it anymore because of how much im spending on gas..I have a lucas oil
fuel cleaner, are those any good? 136,6xx miles by the way
Is that percentage actually based on anything or is it just based off the
mileage?
i hope you can helpme with this one i need to erase” transmission fault” in
the dashg of my pick up 2005 f150 ford i fix the transmission already
thanks or tell me what i have to do if i dont have the scanner thanks again
@unboxingguru1 If there is no OLM reset button in the driver side fuse
panel then do the following. Turn the ignition to ON, do not start the
engine, and slowly fully press and release the gas pedal three times. You
will hear chimes and the Oil change light will go out. Security light is a
Passlock 2 problem (Google it).
hey my fuel gauge is not reading right do you know the problem? also the
windows roll up slow and the ac blower isnt blowing as fast as it shoud, is
it a loose wire? please help me
@knifenut67 easy! 6 years at 30k miles per year. That’s about what I put on
my car in a year. My 07 Civic has over 110k already. A 45 minute highway
commute will put miles like that on fairly quickly.
Could you show us how to reset the ECU on a 2002 Nissan Maxima?
@1999DodgeSikSpak I’m glad you like them, thanks very much for your comment
and good luck.
@EricTheCarGuy i know its been on my favorites
@thepopeis1 After doing this for 15 years I don’t need Top Gear to tell me
that with some cars it’s better to keep your gloves on.
On other vehicles, do you use a scan tool to reset the Check Engine lights?
how does a 2005 have over 200K?
