Nice video. Like the tip on pre-filling the filter. Ditto on the crush
washer. And I guarantee most people can’t quote the max particle size or
particle load capacity of their oil filter. Ditto on the oil choice, too.
Long (dino) or short (syn), those molecular chains rarely shear under
normal use. Some simply think “costs more” equals “works better”.
omg! every oil change video on youtube is of people using a damn fram
orange can… STOP using them they are complete garbage. You can get much
better filters for less money than you pay for those pieces of shit.. do
some research on oil filters and you’ll know what I’m talking about…
it says your car is a 92 yet is has a white roof and top. i thought roofs
werent color keyed until 95? its funny because i’m looking for a white nsx
with a white roof/ top and i didnt know they came in coupe with a keyed roof
You are correct. This car has been painted. I think the color matched roof
and pillars look better. This car if fully loaded will all factory upgrade
options. Elec. Pwr. Steering, AutoTransmission… It’s a great Blvd.
cruiser. 98,000 easy miles and lovingly maintained. Sport struts and
springs lower the car 2 inches. Original wheels and the current ’98 wheels
come with it. If you are interested in this car let me know…
If you ever want another one keep me in mind. I’m going to hold on to this
one until someone makes the right offer. I drive it about 500 miles a year
and maintain it very well. It’s like new and garaged and covered.
Did you miss the part about it being a 1992? It has 189,000 mile on it and
runs and gets the same gas mileage as when it was new. There is no
degradation in the compression… The filters seem to be working well
enough for us…
Mikey, Conventional motor oil is 9 times better than it has to be.
Synthetic oils are expensive because of the cost of manufacturing which, by
the way, creates a larger negative environmental impact that regular motor
oils. The filters I use actually have better filtration and cost A LOT
less. Also, the car is 18 years old and has 100k miles and runs and
performs like new. I don’t think the oil filter I use is going to harm the
car.
@abzdefg321123 You are an idiot! You should watch the whole video before
you give your two cents of advice. Do you see a Fram oil filter going on
this car? No. You see a Fram oil filter being removed… Let me guess…
you are an over weight teenager who has no friends and just sits around all
day on the computer saying negative things. Idiot!
Purolator, that’s my favorite oil filter. I wouldn’t use the FRAM orange
can of death neither the Honda stock filter, for that’s a FRAM in disguise.
You’re right though, I need to change my drain plug gasket, I had the same
one for 100,000 miles with no problems.
@moonymannnn Check out my other cars and oil change vids…

2nd Acura I seen with a crappy Fram oil filter. Glad you didn’t use another
Fram.

How much oil does an Acura NSX take? Just getting to know these cars better.

You should use a genuine Honda filter with synthetic oil.
LOL, you gotta be f%ckin kiddin me. You put a FRAM oil filter on a NSX.
