You mentioned that the vinyl has a limited stretch and will stretch more if you heat it up—how do you suggest heating the vinyl?
Your "Pro Tip" says "only glue the edges", but in the video you also apply glue to the top. Please clarify" Do we apply any glue to the top, flat portion of the covers, or only the edges? Thanks!
How do you reattach the recovered panel to the hinge base??? Please. Thanks.
Capital idea! Another 2010 Acura MDX project on my list! Thanks for the great video! Might be a good idea to show detaching and re-attaching the arm rests to the center console. That seems to be more work that the covering of the arm rests.
My 2010 RDX I’m gunna have to do the same thing m, such a life saver vid!! Thank you
Hello Ed thanks for the demo. I'm looking at your website and I am about to order the black arm rest covers for my 2008 acura mdx fingers crossed they fit and most importantly I don't get glue all over the place.
Umm you didn't show how to remove the back part of the armrest to even put the cover on
Did you use any staples or was that all glue ??
Thank you, just finishing up on my lid repair….The Weldwood works excellent….
erroneous,
here is your answer to your question, yes sir, I am open 7 am to 7 pm 6 days a week . when you go to my website you will see a link to visit my store if your interested, thank you Ed
And how do they go back on the car…..? When you remove the panels it cracks the glue off all the black plastic edges. If you try to glue it back the pressure of the leather pushes the grooves away from the plastic covers. Probably takes some kind of vice clamp in order to get it to reseal against the grooves while glue dries. Major pain (Acura MDX 2011)
Thank You Sir, very much appreciated. Great work………
Looks much nicer than the factory, and yeah it'll save ya $120.00+ at an upholstery shop. Another youtuber spent $130.00 and the job didn't look as nice as yours. Nice work, Hot Rod.
