How to deal with the heat made by the new header if original heat shield can not be used? The header will create lot of heat affecting the hoses and cables around.

The header has nothing to do with the stock cat. I have this header installed with a test pipe and full catback. If you do just the header it will mate up to ur stock cat with no modification .
i would of loved to hear what it sounded after atleast ….
