Thanks so much. Its the same exact procedure for the new body style
(04-08), and im sure its probably similar on newer Acuras/Hondas. Only
slight hiccup I ran into was putting the left gas shock on the right side,
so make sure you check orientation. Took less than 5 minutes. New shocks
are insane. I actually have to put effort quite a bit of force in to close
the hood new. I used Strong Arm 6351 (for an 04 TL) which i got locally
from advanced autos for 38$ for the pair.
This is an awesome video. Whole job took less than 5 minutes and I saved
$50-100 that the dealer wanted to charge. You rock!!!
Oops sorry about that. The #acura hood lifts are cheap enough, just buy
them and swap them out. There’s no point in trying to repair them. However,
if you do find a way to do it, I’d love to hear your story. #carrepair
is this part 74145-S0K-A02 come with 2 or just 1 hood strut?
You are replacing the hood lift supports, not repairing them. I was looking
for the latter. You might wanna edit the title. Thanks for sharing anyway 🙂
