Hey do you have to remove the ball joint in order to replace the boot in
the lower ball joint. I ripped one when removing the lower control arm.

it.if it is worn out sooner or later you’ll be driving and its going to pop
out

Replace just the boot if its not ripped! If its ripped and you’ve been
driving it for awhile change balljoint

@waltseg6 Remove the nut on the end of balljoint then use balljoint removal
tool or ball peen hammer to pop ball joint out.remove old boot clean off
old grease.put new marine grease on balljoint and inside the boot.install
back onto balljoint.when you tighten the balljoint it holds the boot on the
balljoint.Why would it pop out?

you just adjust the sliding balljoint so the camber is even on both
sides.You should check your tie rods you might have toe wear
