Is there a battery management system (BMS), within the computer, that needs to be reset with a scan tool on the 9th gen Honda Civics when the battery is replaced? Some vehicles require a scan tool to reset the battery management system because this system takes into account the age of the battery as time goes on. Installing a new battery and not resetting the Battery Management System will kill a new battery on some cars. I was wondering if resetting the BMS is necessary on these Civics?
Should this sensor be replaced at the same time the battery is replaced?
