DIY:Replace Transmission Mounts on Honda Acura Accord Odyssey Pilot Cl MDX TL with a 4 or 5 speed transmission.

Make sure you remove the bolts for the front motor mount from the top, they are 14mm bolts. Don’t do what I did and remove the welded nut from the bottom of the front engine mount.

1sttobylopez says:

why don't you tell us what the whole set cost you on rockauto.com? don't forget to include shipping

Rick Torbet says:

Awesome video, man!  I did the front a few days ago on my wife's Pilot.  Wish I had known I needed to loosen the front to do these.  I'd have done them all the same day.  DOH!  I'm hoping that I can just loosen the top nut that connects the engine bracket to the front mount.  LET'S HOPE!!  I think I have about 5/8" of play there.

jon schumacher says:

Thank you for the video. I started to put a wrench to those front, welded bolts and then I remembered your mistake and saved my efforts for other things. Also, thanks for pointing out that hidden bolt on the front transmission mount – I couldn't see it but thought something was there and watched this video. I still had to do the work, but you really helped on this one.

Guapo Santana says:

Should the rear motor mount be loosened like the front one in order to raise the engine up?

Terry Anderson says:

after raising the trans. and removing the old mount, do you have to move the trans. up or down or horizontally to re-align the trans to the sub-frame so that the new mounts can fit into all holes for the nut engagement.

ALIEN CONNECTION says:

dude, you could crush your fingers or hands if you're not careful..
