What is the purpose for taking the resonator out please. Will the car still pass smog if this is done. I’m asking because my resonator was destroyed in an accident and I need to get a smog test. Thanks.
remove the rubber gasket between the box and the resonator will do the same thing with removing the bumper

yes it can damage your engine if your car is submerged and water goes through it. its been fine when it rains.
I have a civic 09 coupe Lx mi intake resonator is located in the same side but mine its damage it has a hole my question is if a take the intake resonator off can i have problems when it rains a lot. tcan the water get up to the engine.

thanks! I don’t want the fibreglass kit though, only the small rubber (I think) lip extender from your first YouTube clip. If you stil have it, I’m happy to buy it from you! Thanks again for responding. I have lowered mine and fitted an Eibach fuly adjustable rear upper linkage to set the camber perfectly. Now the tyres are quiet and last much longer. Looks better too. Also fitted AEM cold air induction. Sounds brilliant
