can you tell me where to buy the wire at? thanks..

The1Epistle says:

This is a really helpful video. Only one thing… as far as the colors of
the phone wire, the green is the hot the red is the negative. I phone this
out the hard way and had to do a little extra research. Other than that
everything well. I hope to have a video posted soon, Thank you for the help.

@qu0cthanh Yup Just edited the info. Stealthcord

titanakadia says:

Why do you hardwire it to your car?

Tuan Tran says:

I also have a TL and was wondering before ordering the wire that would I
need the wire with the 1.5 fuse built in or is the regular cable good
enough? Just seeing if I could save 5 bucks lol Thanks in advance

vaiosoft says:

Nope, if you have a powered mirror, it’s standard 12v. No need. I went to
radio shack to buy a standard telephone cable. The guy was nice enough to
let me try out the cable before purchasing. It’s wicked easy to do. Red
(+), Green (-).

Johnny Lee says:

@The1Epistle You don’t know how much grief you saved me by this comment. I
always thought that the red one was hot from other DIY for similar cables
(Escort Passport, etc.) I almost gave up and was planning to take the car
to shop to get this done after burning a fuse. Money saved as well.

The1Epistle says:

@tuxbailey I’m really glad I could help out, I’ll have my video on how I
wired my Valentine 1 up in a couple days.

vaiosoft says:

To make a neat appearance without having the supplied cable running to the
cigarette power.

vaiosoft says:

Nope, you don’t need the fuse. The mirror will provide the correct current
to your V1. I would figure out a way to keep the 2 wires snug.
