The Suburban Hippie Experimentalist says:

Yeah! Good for you! That is CRAZY that he wanted to charge you that! You
saved yourself some serious money.

The Suburban Hippie Experimentalist says:

720? For what? I think the part is 30 dollars, if that is all that is wrong
with it.

knyawthwe says:

thanks for the video

knyawthwe says:

yeah 720 because local mechanic wants money he wants to replace the whole
bar and try to charge me a high price he thought I am a nuts…I came home
and checked and I replaced it..costs me 23.67

knyawthwe says:

I got to thank you for this video..I went to the shop to do alignment
because my car is pulling the right side I thought it has to do with
alignment so I did and the local mechanic noticed my strut bar links I
asked the price to replace he told me 720 I was like wow…so I didn’t let
him fix it but now just looking at your video it helps a lot..thanks

MrBuff993 says:

Thanks for the video. I will be replacing my endlinks this weekend on my 03
type-s.

Chris Smallcorn says:

Do u have to put grease in it? I looked inside and it looked like it
already had grease in it

The Suburban Hippie Experimentalist says:

Mrbuff993, you are very welcome!

rob0781 says:

The reason you had to jack the control arm up to get the link to fit is
because you only had one side off the ground, both front tires need to be
up,same on the back when replacing those.

The Suburban Hippie Experimentalist says:

Rob, thanks for the tip! It makes sense that if you jacked both sides up
equally the suspension on both sides would be the same length. However,
since I am lazy, I just jacked one side up, propped it on jack stands and
jacked up on the lower control arm, in order to bring the assembly up to
the same height as the other side. This really shouldn’t be a problem,
since those sway bar links are made so strong. After all, people jack up on
one side of the car all the time. agreed? 🙂
