@Phones4Dollars Have you ever worked with a oldsmoble 88 trunk (the year is
a 95). If you, or anyone has adive on this car, lemme know asap! Thanks for
the help

Phones4Dollars says:

Thanks guys hope it helps u out like it did me.

Sean Murphy says:

Wow thanks for posting this video! I have leaks in my 99 ls, to the point
that a hole has rusted through the bottom of the trunk. I’ve scraped all of
the rubber molding, cleaned, and sprayed the trunk with best match
rustolium. Water doesn’t collect in the trunk anymore, but now I can find
and fix those leaks thanks to you!

Nathaniel Chacon says:

No way don’t use that shit. I used it for my 95 honda civic and it didnt
stop nothing. Waste of money.

Good job man, this isnt exactly what i was looking for (my em1 civic leaks)
but this gives you a good idea on how to fix the gaskets etc, the think i
got worried about was my friend said not to use Silicone on Car paint
because it can make the paint bubble and peal but im not sure if that is
true or not, if it wont im gonna silicone every hole and gasket i can find,
i have a feeling it coming in where the rear window meets the boot/trunk
though :-/

Phones4Dollars says:

@offspringy ya The silicone worked well never had problems with it
affecting the paint. Thanks for watching. Hope your em1 gets fixed.

Anndrew Christian says:

the leak where the light is in the trunk isnt from the top bro i found out
the vent thats below the light leads to outside and theres a gasket around
it too and thats where my water was coming from on my teg i had to go up
under the rear bumper on the side where it leads and silicone it up

Ghost9909 says:

You can take the spare out and sit in the trunk while a buddy sprays the
car with a hose to locate leaks. I’ve also read the moonroof drain tubes
can be a problem. Water issues are bad so don’t waste any time sealing it
up.

Phones4Dollars says:

@smurphy505 thanks man. Glad it helped ya.

42bearpooh says:

hey marco; I also found running a bead of sealant above the wrap around
panel that goes between the lights is a good idea too. I did not replace
the gaskets yet, but running the beads around the lights helps too. Will
hit the other spots you mentioned. Now i am going to get that passenger
side on the front done and all will be good. thanks for the video, will try
to video my fix too.

ross hepworth says:

Thanks for the video. I got clear silicone for mine

rolando7907 says:

Phones4Dollars, do you think I can use weatherstrip instead of silicone?

Phones4Dollars says:

your welcome!

OmarGoshTV says:

@rolando7907 I would use the silicone if you wanted it to be more permanent
and weatherstripping if you wanted to remove it a few times. This is my
ohter youtube acc.

steeeevenk says:

thanks for this vid mate, just bought my teg just a week ago, found out
there was a leak in the boot, and it was coming from the back lights and
the antenna

OdessitNaveki says:

@Phones4Dollars Thanks, man, I had a similar problem. Couldn’t figure out
were the leak was coming from until I saw your video! Evrika, it came from
the lights! I took them out and…they were full of of water after heavy
rain storm. I went to Crappy tire (our local shop) and bought a transparent
tube of silicon. Just finished the job following you instructions. The tube
said wait for at least 12 hours before exposing to water. So, I will see
the results tomorrow. Thanks, 10 stars!

Jason Giese says:

My 95′ GSR is doing the same thing. I wouldn’t recomend drilling a hole it
the car to drain the water. Use a sponge or a shit load of paper towel.
Other trouble spots are the power antenna, and sunroof drains.
