Just a quick video showing how I changed the Front Brake Pads & Rotors on a 2011 Acura MDX. This will be the same for 2007 – 2013
Tools needed:
17mm socket and/or wrench for caliper slide pin bolts
19mm socket and/or wrench or breaker bar for caliper bracket bolts
Flathead Screwdriver or small pry bar for prying the caliper piston back in.
A ‘C’ Clamp or the caliper piston compression tool works fine too.
Torque wrench
Brake grease
Anti Seize
Medium strength thread locker
The torque specs I found online are:
53 ft. lbs for the caliper slide pin bolts
101 ft. lbs for the larger caliper bracket bolts
