Do you have any videos on how to replace the rear parking brake shoe? I
have an ’03 TL and need it replaced. Replaced my rotors and pads in the
rear on both sides but I’m still hearing a metallic grinding sound from the
rear left side. After I took my rotor off on that side I noticed the shoes
were almost worn completely but still hav a little bit of life left in
them. Can you help me? Thank you sir!
I have not tackled that job yet. I searched around and could not find a
video. I did find instructions on Autozone. YouTube won’t let me post a
link, but if you do a Google search on “autozone acura tl parking brake
shoe replacement”, it should give you a good result to a page that gives
pretty good details and pictures on how to replace the parking brake shoes.
I hope this helps.

Awesome. I have a 1997 TL, but the similarities are such that I can glean
plenty from your tutorial. Thanks. -Steve in CA

Awesome job. I’ve always wondered how the rear parking brake is maintained.
Thanks for this info! 🙂
