Thanks for the reply bro.

That rattling was actually caused by the glass jar that i had on the engine, so you shouldn’t listen for that specific sound. If there is something wrong with either your spark plug or ignition coil, you should NOT hear the sound of the engine change when you pull the bad component. No change in sound = component not contributing to making the engine run. Change in sound = component contributing to engine. If you don’t hear the sound change, it could be either spark plug or coil

Indieguy2 says:

If it doesn’t make that rattling noise is it he spark plug or the ignition coil that is the problem?

Thanks for the info my car idles kinda loud so I’ll look at the spark plugs

Thanks! i had multiple misfire codes on a 2000 acura tl. Car was running terrible. Watched your video and tested my coil packs. Found that only coil on #5 was bad. Bought a $48 coil from advance and put it on in the parking lot. Drove home running perfect again!

Steven Kozicki says:

Yeah, you could replace all six for less than $200 by shopping around online and following this fine DIY video.

Santi Arias says:

Its really helpful, about 4 months ago, one of my ignition coils died. I took it to the shop and it was 340 dollars for fixing it( they charge also for reading and clearing the cel). This week another coil died, and that was again over 300 dollars.

I should change the other 4, but if I take it to the shop is gonna be at least 600 dollars and I would not learn anything.

I am gonna give this a shot, it will save me a ton of money plus I will learn more about my car(acura tl 2000)

Thanks again!
