Great video!!!! Question, when you remove the Bee Hive should there be small oil puddles on the top surface of the intake manifold close the bolts? If not what could be the cause?

When I heard 600,000 miles I had to rewind (aging myself, like w/ cassette/VHS tape 🙂 ) and listen again to make sure I heard correct. Very impressive. I have the same year TL and looking forward to the same 600,000 miles. Thank you for the very detailed video.

Michael Sanchez says:

Also, my metal gasket on my bee hive is stuck to the bee hive itself. Is that gonna be a problem when cleaning off the carbon?

Michael Sanchez says:

What do you clean the area on the bee hive thats filled with carbon with?

My son has a 01 TL and the CEL indicated the knock sensor was faulty. After watching your video twice we felt armed to take it on. Your presentation is very methodical and simply covered every step documenting each with supporting comments that made sense. We just finished reassembly this morning and after a test drive the car runs smoother and idles properly. Not least is the CEL is not illuminated,. Thank you for a first rate guide to this specific car repair. I'd love to make a contribution if that is appropriate. Great job and many thanks.
