Have a few questions, how many miles were on the bike, when this started, and did it make any noisy when you first start the bike, and get much quieter when you pull the clutch lever. No slipping problems, in any gears, and it’s done this for 11,000+ miles, it’s at the 15K mark now, the bike had 2,200 miles when I bought it, and has not changed sounds. What are your thoughts. It’s also time for a valve check & adjust, did your bike go out of specs, at the 15K check, with the valves ? Thanks, yl

I have a 2001 SV650 with around 46k on the clock. I’ve noticed the clutch slipping and making a lot of noise. I was wondering if I could still ride the bike? I’m planning on changing out the entire clutch assembly this winter, so if I keep riding it normally (not being abused), would any more damage occur? More slipping and more wear and damage on the clutch is understandable.

have a 2000 sv650,and had some similar problems. but the clutch had just been replaced by a friend before i bought it. the cable too,and the push road assembley. and it seems to get steadily worse no matter how it’s adjusted, (by pushrod,or clutch cable). i think im gonna have to strip it to bits and see where he went wrong. glad they changed the cover though. the plastic clutch basket cover always seems to p*** a leak where it picks up extra heat from the water pump. thx for the vid

Hi

My gt250r is creeping forward at first gear even when the clutch lever all pulled. I adjusted the free play but did not solve. At first gear when I rev up clutch it disengages totaly, but when the rev down again to idle it is engaging partially again and starts to creep forward again.

What the problem may be and where should i look at ?
