I bought Adam Lz’s old Porsche 911 992 GT3 after it was involved in a accident over in the US. Ive been flying back to the UK to get parts which US Porsche are not allowed to sell me. Now i need to solve the overheating and get the car painted, but things are proving harder than first thought as a part from Porsche is holding us back!

Hello Mat,
As an automotive engineer I can give a clue about why the engine bay door cannot be opened without drivers door attached.
There is a condition for the engine bay door to be opened the drivers door to be opened as well. That way can be insured that the vehicle is stationary. The engine bay door cannot be opened while the vehicle is in motion.
If the drivers door is not attached then the vehicle does not know if the door is open or closed, and that’s why by default if the driver door is not open and the engine door will not open as well.
Awesome rebuild, awesome car! I don't like the gold wheels but that's just personal taste. BUT I think the gold does not work with the yellow break calipers.

I think you should definitely powder coat match the roll-bar/ roll cage with the wheels
Please look at the way cheaper to produce but we can still charge the same money for "Forged Carbon". 😀
