Need to replace your front brakes on your 2015 Jeep Cherokee? Check out my latest Jeep video: https://youtu.be/L6oagnNpNTo

Rick Mayea says:

Thanks for the video. Very helpful

pyepye111 says:

Just an FYI. I found out that the rear torque to yield bolts are only supposed to be 89ft-lbs. I did my brakes yesterday and did mine to the 129. Hopefully it’s not a problem and I can get them off okay next time

Sean Garcia says:

MUCH THANKS! The info you gave on the settings “brake service” was definitely a must see.

B Mac says:

What about bleeding? Do I need to go into app? Or can it be done the classic way..

Andrew Neil says:

Great video! I have a 2018 Cherokee with 70,000 miles so I anticipate doing a four wheel brake job this summer. Thanks for the info!

Jeremy Major says:

Hi, I have a 2016 Jeep Cherokee. My question for you is would I need to go into the Uconnect and press the break button for the front breaks as well? Thanks

Gunpla-tinum says:

Thanks for the info! These same steps also work on a 2018 Compass to retract the parking brake.

Todd H says:

One tip for removing those seized on wheels is to (from the outer side of the wheel) insert the curved end of an wrecking bar in between the rim and wheel hub, jerk up on the bar a few times and the wheel come off easily. Also for those stuck on rotors use a 3 -4lbs sledge hammer and hit them very hard (don't be gentle) and they will pop free. (Make sure the retaining screw is removed)

MrJjsschultz2008 says:

I work as a part time mechanic( not a pro by any means) and It’s becoming more and more apparent that the people designing these newer cars never have to actually service them. That should be part of the design process. Make the engineers do all the common maintenance items to see what a PIA they make it. Great video though!

randy berg says:

Do you engage parking brake before you go into app for servicing brake that retracts it for service?
Guess what I am asking does parking brake need to be on before using app in the unconnect menu that retract for servicing

Iurii Koro says:

Great video! Thank you from Ukraine.

Ashley K says:

Is this the same way for the 2017 Jeep renegade?

J M says:

The bolts that expand, I bought some bolts that were the same size but they don't expand, should I use those or reinstall the original bolts until I can get some new ones ordered in?

Mark Duesing says:

Saved me some time with this vid! Thanks

Marc Smith says:

Great video!

I see a lot of Mercedes resemblance in the Jeeps from the Daimler/Chrysler days . I think these sit on the last ML Chassis. One of the few domestics that use lug bolts instead of studs for the reason. Also putting the brakes in service mode in the menu. Mercedes is the only one that does that while the others require a scantool or some archaic way to back them up.

Logan Sims says:

What were those bolts called and where did you find them?

Is Really Drew says:

I have a 2018 compass limited. FWD. Im having trouble finding the brakes information in the manual. I just want to read the torque specs when putting back the bolts on the caliper as well as the lug nut specs.

shootemfulloholes says:

Oh and forget replacing the bolts just use the original one's and tighten them reasonably only don't torque them down its not necessary. If you do replace the bolts replace with metric normal bolts not dumb-ass jeep bolts!!

shootemfulloholes says:

Thanks for making this video it helped a ton.
Now as for the engineers at jeep they are pretty stupid, the just made a 1 hour job a 2 hour job with their retarded bolts if i could kick each of them in the nuts i would morons.

David MacPhail says:

Great video, really helped me to change my rear brakes. Would advise people to check the sliding pins and lube them, this is a step that was missed. The hardware should also be replaced or at least thoroughly inspected and cleaned. It’s not a good idea to simply put the new pads back in the bracket with the old stuff.

dakotamar says:

thanks, never thought i would have to use the app to release the park brake. now to find the t55, what a pain…
