Just done mine today according to your video. Awesome man! Much appreciated!

Stan Gill says:

Seriously, I get tired of watching videos of guys doing projects like this, with a damn lift… Not everyone, most people do not have access to a lift, and if you literally can't figure out how to undo a bolt, then you shouldn't do it..

I came here because I plan on doing this in the only place I can, in the driveway, and just wanted to see how it was jacked up, what was supported and how…

With 30 years of installing, one would imagine that installing that shock with the suspension extended like it was ( evident by the small amount of compression required to mount second/lower shock eyelet ), that the boot should have been zip tied in an semi extended relation. Instead, the video shows it being in a compressed s shape that will rub on the shaft when in use @ ride height and under compression. Might add why ford recommends hardware replacement as well. The nuts are a self locking variety that does not offer the same retention qualities upon reuse. Blue/medium thread locker might maintain retention. Follow torque specs and save the hardware. Great Vid. thanks

Rusty Baxter says:

So I ordered front and rear shocks, and two are one style and the other two are a different style. Does it matter which style goes where?

Màrty Dedmon says:

Removing the spare tire gives you alot of room especially if your doing it in the driveway like I am

Mike Morrison says:

Great video. Thanks for the detailed tutorial.

Clyde Smith says:

If only everyone owned a lift! Make a video doing it the poor mans way
