You never have to disconnect actuator rod from the plastic rod adjuster down below the yellow piece in the video ! And most times it will break or be out of adjustment !!!!!! and you will have to replace the whole actuator if it breaks ! The handle rod slips into handle from the outside just did one ! Also there are two handles a short lever made of pot metal and a long lever handle made of plastic that slips into handle lever rod always use vin and then match up prior to install if you try to install a long lever on handle it will bind up the rod so look at the handle prior and match up by eye the dealer gave me the wrong handle but then I found out there are two models of handles !
Video is helpful, but you do skip replacing the key lock tumbler….

no detail on how to reattach the keyed lock assembly back to the lock mechanism – yeah – I pulled mine out like you showed and now can't figure out how to get it connected back.

This is a great tutorial. My Tahoe's doors froze shut due to some freezing rain over night and I yanked my driver door handle right off. I paid a lot for this vehicle — why is the handle made out of plastic? This is going to save me a lot of money.
Instructions were “right” on! Mine was a broken passenger side handle (attempted theft) but the instructions were the same for the driver side for my 09 Chevy Tahoe LTZ. It took less than 20 minutes to repair. Thanks!

Is there a video for the passenger front door? It’s completely different from the driver side door.
