In this video I show you how I troubleshoot a Honda power window system on an older Civic with an Integrated Control Unit (ICU). There are different technologies used on Hondas but many basic electrical checks carry through to all models. I show some electrical checks, talk about different body control systems used on Hondas, discuss slow windows and I even show the fix for this vehicle which was to replace a window regulator.
The exact vehicle in this video is a 2000 Honda Civic LX sedan.

I'm sorry, but I'm just going to cut right to it because this is a lot for me to take in I'm just trying to keep up and I don't get it lol.
I have a 99 and I'm currently sitting in it at 11:15 at night trying to get it to roll up afraid to leave it down because the forecast calls for rain.. The driver side window starts to roll up and then stops.
It gives me about a half an inch before it stops.. not even enough to grab and pull up on.. I can hear it when it stops too, it makes a high-pitch whistle/screeching sound, almost as if it's getting jammed on something..the Noise is subtle… have to listen for it to hear it..
19:46 fuses
I just bought my 1st car and don't know a thing lmfao. I can build a computer in 15 minutes but cars, shits a different world.
Your videos are insanely useful for someone like myself, so thank you sir.
What do i do if youre window was soo slow up and down?
Thank you for an excellent Video, not sure if you can give me some advice, I have a Honda FRV 2006 model and the three passenger windows are not working, if i check the relay at the under dash fuse box i don't seem to be getting any power when the ignition switch is in position 2. I do however have power on the relay when the ignition switch is off , although it is difficult to hear the relay clicking. Thank you
You obviously put the extra effort in on this video. Great job. Extremely helpful. I like to be able to picture the circuit im working on in my mind and youre wiring diagram helped a lot. Thanks.
Mann IGreat VID!! I feel like um back in school
I have a 98 and the front right only rolls up, once up you cannot roll it down from either window switch driver or passenger. Any ideas?
Thank you Sir, excellent video…
